- Join our first go at standard. We are welcoming of all and looking to build a standard scene within our location. Join us and be part of our ever growing community and participate in new events we're looking to build. What is "Standard Showdown"? Standard Showdown is a weekly Standard format play program where players gather to compete in tournaments using their Standard decks for winner promos (While supplies last). The event is positioned at a strategic sweet spot for in-store play: it is engaging for competitive players while still welcoming to casual players. The weekly cadence in the Standard format encourages players both new and seasoned to return to try new deck builds, test their skills, or just enjoy regular play. Though Standard Showdown doesn't feed into Premier Play events, it can be a training ground for players interested in tackling higher level Magic tournament play, including Regional Championship Qualifiers.
