- MTG Avengers Academy: 2HG Team Event at Empire Games When: June 14th Time: 5pm Entry: Free Avengers Academy is a special event designed to help experienced players bring a friend, family member, trusted sidekick, or helpful henchman into Magic and give them a taste of Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes a week before Prerelease. There are no rounds, no standings, and no pressure, so Avengers Academy keeps the focus on teamwork, learning, and fun. This casual Two-Headed Giant event invites players to team up in pairs, ideally one experienced player and one learning Magic, and play against other two-person teams using the new themed Welcome Decks. Each participant can pick a Welcome Deck featuring a Marvel character they're excited about or based on a color they'd like to play, subject to availability.
