Standard (Magic Definition) is a rotating, 60-card constructed Magic: The Gathering format that uses only the most recently released sets (typically the last 2–3 years). It is designed to be accessible for newer players, featuring a constantly evolving, competitive meta. Rotation occurs annually in the fall, removing the oldest sets to keep the format fresh.
