- An MTG prerelease is a casual, in-store event that lets you play with a brand-new Magic: The Gathering set a week before it officially releases. In a Sealed format, you'll open a Prerelease Kit—containing six Play Boosters, a year-stamped promo card, and a Spindown die—to build a 40-card deck and play a few fun rounds. This is the 1st of 3 (or while supplies last!)
