- New to Magic? Magic Academy is designed to help brand-new players learn the game in a fun, welcoming environment. Our staff and community will teach the fundamentals of Magic: The Gathering using beginner-friendly Welcome Decks and guide players through their first games. Registration Required Players must register with a Wizards Account to participate and receive a FREE Welcome Deck to keep. Physical event materials are available only to registered Wizards Accounts.
